| Also known as The One Where It All Began.
Summary:
Monica is discussing her love life with her friends Phoebe, Joey and Chandler in their favorite hang out spot, Central Perk, when her brother, Ross, tells them that his ex-wife is a lesbian and has moved in with her new partner. Rachel, an old friend of Monica's, comes to the coffee house looking for her, fully clad in a wedding dress and informs everyone that she had just left her fiance, Barry, at the alter. Rachel goes with Monica to her apartment, where she argues with her father, insisting she doesn't love Barry, and that she is going to move in with Monica and begin a new life without his help. The next morning, Rachel is inspired to get a job and ultimately finds a job as a waitress at the coffee house. Ross later reveals to Rachel that he had a crush on her in high school, and she agrees to go out on a date with him sometime.

The pilot episode may have a crappy editing (technically speaking) but I love the fact that from the very first episode they have established Ross and Rachel! :D |

| Best scene: Ross and the umbrella. But I hate Joey's hair in this one. Overall, one of the best episodes IMO. |

| Sure man, I don't like it either... anyway, love this episode so much! It's fun to watch it and then watch the last one right after! Have you guys ever tried that? It's so much fun to see the difference in appearences and acting! |

| Love the episode, hate Rachel in this one. She's all flappy and weird and frail. I prefer strong season 8 Rachel. _________________ We thought Phoebe would leave,
