Monica is tough, defensive, cynical, and sarcastic. She comes from a blue-collar background, and wants to make something of herself. Being a former obese child, she loves food, and her dream is to be a chef in her own restaurant - which later comes true. Romantically, she has had some good relationships, but never worked out the way she wanted. Later she finds true love and happiness with Chandler. Although tough, she has a real maternal side and tends to take care of people. She is a perfectionist and is obsessed with cleaning; also with a very competitive side, the friends are always afraid to play any kind of games with her.
